This area is bordered by Kyambogo to the east, Nakawa to the south, Naguru to the west, Bukoto to the northwest, Kigoowa to the north and Kiwaatule to the northeast. It is approximately located 8 kilometres (5.0 mi) by road, northeast of Kampala's central business district. It is within easy reaches of banks, petrol stations, kindergartens, schools, bars, restaurants and lots of good shops and shopping malls. Ntinda shopping centre, Capital shoppers supermarket and Tuskys supermarket are a 10 minutes drive. Rents are generally higher but affordable.

Traffic & Transportation

The area's traffic is always bad during early morning hours due-to a number of crisscrossing roads in the town centre, that is, the road from Kisaasi to Nakawa and the road from Kiwaatule to Bukoto and the reverse is true during evening hours.


The area is largely built with middle class and upscale residentials, with good tarred road network that lead to and away from homes. The area is generally quiet, with the town centre being noisy a bit. This makes it a good area for walking, jogging and cycling. Most residentials are highly secured with high and strong wall fences built around them, this makes it easy for security guards to safeguard the individual homes and the area in general.


The area has a few of the many, and they include; a few bank branches like, Bank of Africa, Barclays Bank, Diamond Trust Bank, Housing finance, Bank and Equity Bank.
The place also has a number of upscale super markets like Tuskys super market, Capital shoppers super market and Ntinda shopping centre. Catalina restaurant and bar and Club Pa Lui are some of the nightlife places in the area.
KK Health Club with a swiming pool is also located within the area meant for fitness purposes.


The area has a number of schools and they include; Ntinda school for the deaf, Ntinda view college, Concerted college and Rise and Shine high school.

Hospitals & Clinics

Ray of Hope Medical Centre Ntinda, Ntinda Medical Centre and Ntinda Clinic are some of the medical facilities in the area.

Development & Trend

Generally Ntinda is one of the places in Kampala that are fast growing into up scale residential areas, Hotels and office blocks replacing some of the low income housing neighbourhoods.
A number of new clubs have been put in place making it one the nightlife places in the city.
